In 2024, Northern Mosaic Network launched a research project in collaboration with researchers from the University of Manitoba.

The goals of this project were to:

1) Evaluate the Health Care for Transgender, Non-Binary, and Gender Nonconforming People: Guidelines for the Northwest Territories, and

2) Based on feedback from patients, caregivers and providers, develop recommendations to improve the existing Guidelines and reduce barriers to accessing gender-affirming health care in the NWT.
